In Season 4, Amy continues to read texts from gender studies experts around the world and discusses these texts with guests who have read – or, in many cases written – the book being discussed. This season will feature subjects and books from across the globe, reserving time to recognize observances such as Black History Month, Arab Heritage Month, Pride Month, AAPI History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, and Indigenous History Month by reading relevant texts and delving into the ways patriarchy affects these specific demographics.

Each guest this year will have ancestry from the country they discuss in their episode, and in many cases they will be longtime residents of that country, which means they will bring firsthand local experience to the discussion.
